Pakistani Gabbeh carpets draw on the same tradition as their Afghan and Iranian counterparts, produced in the workshops of northern Pakistan using wool pile on cotton with natural vegetable dyes. The construction is handknotted and the aesthetic stays true to the Gabbeh character: thick pile, simple geometry, warm palette.
The multicolour palette of this small piece at 3 ft 1 in x 4 ft 10 in has the warm, earthy character of Gabbeh production. Knotted at 80 knots per square inch using Ghiordes knots. At this small format the piece works as a bedside rug, accent piece or layering carpet.
In your home: Works as a bedside rug, accent piece or layering carpet. Pairs with natural timber, warm walls and organic influenced interiors.
