Uchan is a village in the Ardabil region of northwestern Iran, within the tribal weaving culture that produced the great northwest Persian and Caucasian carpets. Uchan pieces are woven in wool on wool with geometric patterns carried in memory. The construction is honest and each piece has genuine individual character.
