The design is built around a dark chocolate medallion on a warm brown field, with stylized trees standing on either side and small bird like figures and vessels worked through the field. A dark border with geometric motifs frames the piece, and a cream fringe finishes both short ends.
What makes it unique is that the design is not symmetrical. One end is longer, or extended, than the other, so the trees, figures and inner field do not mirror from end to end. That unevenness is part of how the rug was drawn by hand, a feature of a handmade tribal piece rather than a fault.
