Senneh, now known as Sanandaj, is the capital of Kurdistan Province in western Iran and one of the oldest Kurdish weaving centres. The Senneh tradition is known for its fine construction and distinctive geometric-curvilinear patterns. This piece is woven in wool on wool at 64 knots per square inch.
