Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 2026. These terms apply to all purchases made through handmadecarpetgallery.com and in our Singapore showroom.

1. Purchases and payment

All prices are listed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and inclusive of GST where applicable. Full payment is required at the time of purchase for all online orders. For custom orders and large commissions, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm the order, with the balance due prior to delivery or collection.

We accept major credit cards, debit cards and bank transfer. Payment confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.

2. Delivery and shipping

We deliver within Singapore and offer free worldwide shipping on all orders. All carpets are carefully rolled, wrapped and packaged for transit. Risk passes to the buyer upon delivery to the address provided.

Delivery times within Singapore are typically 3 to 7 business days from order confirmation. International delivery timelines vary by destination and will be confirmed at the time of dispatch.

All applicable import duties, taxes and customs charges at the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Handmade Carpet Gallery is not liable for any delays, charges or confiscation arising from customs processes at the destination. We recommend checking your country's import regulations for handmade textiles before placing an order. 3. Returns and exchanges

We accept returns within 14 days of the carpet being received. To initiate a return, you must contact us on WhatsApp at +65 8868 4415 within 14 days of receipt to notify us and arrange the return. Returns that are not notified within this window will not be accepted.

The following conditions apply to all returns:

  • The carpet must be returned in the same condition as received, unused and uninstalled
  • Return shipping costs are the full responsibility of the buyer
  • The carpet must be returned using a tracked and insured shipping method. We recommend using the original packaging where possible
  • If the returned carpet shows any signs of use, soiling or staining, a professional cleaning charge will be deducted from the refund before it is processed
  • If the carpet has been installed, cut, altered or damaged after delivery, a return will not be accepted

Refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days of the returned piece being received and inspected at our premises. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Custom orders are non-refundable once the order has been confirmed and production commenced
  • Sale items are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged or materially different from its description
  • Pieces purchased in-showroom are exchangeable within 14 days at our discretion

4. Colour accuracy disclaimer

Handmade Carpet Gallery takes care to represent the colour of each piece accurately in our photographs. However, due to differences in screen calibration, display settings and the handmade nature of our products, slight colour variation may occur between what you see online and the piece in person. No two handmade carpets are identical, and natural variation in dye lots and wool is part of what makes each piece one of a kind. We recommend visiting our showroom to view any piece before purchase if colour accuracy is important to you. 5. Custom orders

Custom commissions are accepted subject to design approval, material availability and production timelines. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin production. Lead times for custom pieces vary between 3 and 12 months depending on size, complexity and origin of weaving. We will provide a written estimate of the lead time at the time of order confirmation.

Minor variations in pile height, knot density and colour tone from the approved design sample are inherent to handmade production and are not considered defects.

6. Care and liability

We provide care guidance for all pieces at the time of purchase. Damage resulting from improper cleaning, exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or the use of inappropriate cleaning products is not covered under any exchange or return arrangement. We strongly recommend professional cleaning by a specialist in handmade carpets and are happy to advise on appropriate care for any piece purchased from us.

7. Intellectual property

All images, copy and content on handmadecarpetgallery.com are the property of Handmade Carpet Gallery and may not be reproduced, downloaded or used without written permission.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from a purchase through this website or our showroom will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
